Hello, I'm glad that you came over to my "preemie" page. I'm going to show you how I looked way back then. I was born at thirty-two weeks after my Mom got toxemia and her blood pressure rose so high it was dangerous to us both. The doctor did a C-section and delivered me, a whole 3 pounds, 10 ounces.

This was me when I was born. I know that I look big but I wasn't. You will see that in the next few pictures. My Grampy talked the nurse into just letting him hold me up above the bed for a minute, so he lays claim that he was the first to hold me. She had to keep the oxygen blowing in my face though. I had a hard time breathing and looked pretty pitiful but beautiful to my Granny and Grampy.

Now in these next pictures you can see just how little I was. These were taken when my Mama got to come in and hold me for just a minute. She thought I was beautiful too.

Finally, my Granny got to have a turn to hold me. She sure wanted to and had been there all day every day, praying for me to make it. I was about 2 weeks old by then. I had a head full of hair and looked like a little old man.

My Mom got to go home from the hospital but had to leave me there for a while. Mama, Granny, and Grampy were back though, every chance they got. This was one of those times and I was about 4 weeks old and weighed about 4 pounds. Boy, was I cute.

Then it came time that I could go home too. Here I am in my bassinet at six weeks.

I just grew and grew and here I was at seven months and for some reason, my hair had turned red and very curly. I am with my Uncle Mike and Aunt Sandy, who were waiting the birth of my cousin Haley.

Before we knew it, I was turning one, into everything, and the healthiest, best looking fellow in the world.

I grew so fast and my hair changed again to straight and brown. I never did lose my hair like most all babies do. Here I am when I was 2, then 3.

Here I am at 4 and 5.

Now at six, this was my kindergarden graduation photo. Am I not just the most handsome thing you ever saw? Looks like I might be a judge someday.

This last photo I'm going to show. It is when I was seven and had just gotten home with my karate trophies.

Now I'm eight and you saw that picture on my main page. I just wanted you to see how well I have done and that being born so little and so early didn't hurt me a bit. So if you have a little preemie, just look at me and know he will be big someday too.
Thanks for looking at my pages. Please sign the guestbook on my other page and come back soon cause I'm still growing and changing and have alot to share with you.
Love, Blake
